CITRIC ACID is a mild organic acid suitable for use in beer, flavouring extracts, confections, soft drinks, and effervescent salts. CITRIC ACID is also used for pH control, cleaning and polishing stainless steel and other metals, plus is used as an antioxidant in foods, water conditioning agent, sequestering agent, water conditioning agent, detergent builder, and mordant.
A mixture of CITRIC ACID and glycerol can be used to treat soft woods. This will increase the hardness of the wood as well as resistance to swelling and degradation. This is a renewable and eco-friendly solution that follows the prior use of petrochemicals.
CITRIC ACID is safe to use the hard surfaces such as shower screens, tiles, taps, sinks, toilets, baths, spas, and benchtops made from acrylic, chrome, stainless steel, ceramics, and fibreglass, that are found in bathrooms, kitchens, and laundries. CITRIC ACID must not be used on marble surfaces.
CITRIC ACID is safe to use in septic systems.
