Heavy Duty Eco Friendly Detergent & Cleaner for self-cleaning ovens – NZFSA Approved C31 – Biodegradable

Effect is a potassium based heavy duty cleaner to provide powerful cleaning with a shining action on stainless steel to raise hygiene standards, and to impress customers and NZFSA inspectors!

Effect’s potassium base, plus traces of nitrogen and phosphorous, allow it to be used in areas where rinse water is drained directly to soil, or with suitable pH control to septic systems.

Effect is powerful enough and foamy enough to be used in foam-on/blast-off applications to eliminate scrubbing and thus facilitate automatic cleaning functions to lower costs.

Directions

GENERAL PURPOSE: For floors, walls and equipment normally 1% or 10ml/litre is sufficient, but if more power or foam is required then increase the dilution rate.

BLAST OFF: When Effect is required to be spray or foamed onto a surface then blasted off with- out scrubbing then a minimum of 5% or 50ml per litre is required.

OVENS: Set dose to self-cleaning oven’s requirement. Use manually neat or diluted down to as low as 250ml Effect per litre. Will clean cold but if the surface and or the cleaning solution is heated to 90 Celsius then cleaning will be much quicker. Set hand spray to squirt not spray. Rinse food handling surfaces thoroughly with potable water before use.

Contains over 90 g/L potassium hydroxide: wear gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing where there is a risk of skin contact.

Effect is safe to use on mild steel, stainless steel, vitreous enamel, iron, nickel, chrome, and glass without the risk of chemical attack.

Test before use on brass, tin, copper, galvanised and painted surfaces – painted surfaces are best tested at a 10% dilution. DO NOT use on aluminium surfaces.

Technical

Effect has a clear red appearance, a density of at least 1.14 kg/l and contains over 90 g/L potassium hydroxide, wetting and emulsifying agents and sequestrants.

Effect is available in 5 litre flagons, 4×5 litre packs, 20 litre cubes, 200 litre drums, and 1000 litre tanks.

First Aid

INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting, drink two glasses of water or milk. Call ambulance.

EYE CONTACT: Rinse with cool water and continue rinsing for 15 minutes. Call ambulance.

SKIN CONTACT: Rinse with cool water until soapy feel is gone
